2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS UPDATE VOLUME 3 JANUARY 2015
Election Monitor has been committed to preparing and publishing its highly sought after 2015 General Elections’ Update. As the General Elections are but a few days away, Election Monitor understands the importance of accessing critical information for all stakeholders in the electoral process in Nigeria. For this reason, the 2015 General Elections Update Volume 3, January 2015 has a very strong focus on data especially as relating to the Permanent Voter Card Distribution.
This edition starts by taking a look at the distribution of Permanent Voters' Cards (PVCs) by looking at the various data provided by INEC. The data is provided by looking at the distribution in relation to political parties, zonal distribution and statewide distribution. The document then goes on to show the number of candidates for National Assembly seats (while clearly showing the number of female candidates); the political party controlling each state from 1999 till date; distribution of academic qualifications of aspirants for Federal House of Reps and Senate in each state; distribution of the ages (years) of aspirants for Federal House of Reps and Senate in each state; some Federal House of Representatives flagbearers.
