PRESS STATEMENT – ELECTION MONITOR CALLS ON THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) TO URGENTLY REVIEW THE 2019 JIGAWA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The 2019 Jigawa State Governorship Election held on 9th March 2019. On Sunday 10th March 2019, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the victory of Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar as governor.
Election Monitor believes that based on its own assessment the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should urgently review the 2019 Jigawa State Governorship Election. The reasons leading to this position are attached.
Election Monitor felt it necessary to do an audit analysis of the 2019 Jigawa State Governorship Election as a Nigerian organization that is committed to the promotion of good governance.
